Description

Crystal hops are an American bred and grown variety that is the daughter of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh. Crystal also has genetics from Cascade and Brewer's Gold, but is used mostly for its noble German character.
Crystal offers a light aroma of floral and cedar with some soothing spices in the background.
Crystal was first released in 1993 by the USDA and is the half-sister of Mt. Hood and Liberty.

The variety 'Hersbrucker Pure' is developed as a classic aromatic-variety. 'Pure' means "pure hop-aroma" like the variety 'Hersbrucker'. But 'Pure' is not related to 'Hersbrucker!

'Pure' has been released at an unfortunate moment with an unfortunate name. It has never reached a real growing importance.

Nevertheless the profile of aromatic- and tasting-ingredients is excellent because of its ancestors 'Saaz' and 'Hallertauer'

This hop string can be used to provide a climbing aid for the hops.
The hop shoots wrap tightly around the climbing aid and can not slip off due to the rough surface.
This cord is about 5mm thick and 100% jute. For this reason, it can be cut and composted in the fall along with the hop vine.
