hop for beer

The use of hops in brewing beer is the supreme discipline.
Based on the sedative effect of lupulin, the aromas produced by the various polyphenols in beer are also used to optimize flavor.

The delicate flavors that can be conjured up in beer with hops depend on the timing and quantity of the hop addition. However, the variety is also crucial, especially with later hop additions (aroma hopping) or even cold hopping.
Details on the aroma profiles can be found here in the shop in the “Details” tab for each variety.
The results of sensory tests are often presented in so-called spider diagrams. Here is an example for the 'Callista' variety:

  Our recommendation for varieties:

'Saphir' as fine, classic aromatic hop!
'Centennial' as a dual-purpose hop: to get bitternes and aroma!
'Callista' if you want to get a great, fruity beer!
