Cannabis - hemp
Similar to hops, hemp has a high range of ingredients, especially in the female inflorescence. Many of these have not yet been thoroughly researched or are at least unused.
Unlike hops, hemp contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is psychoactive and therefore affects perception. This is why hemp is often ostracized as an intoxicant.
Since we consider personal responsibility to be important and right, we offer hemp seeds here in our shop. After all, hemp has a wealth of other properties and uses, which unfortunately are not the focus of public perception.
There are two main types of cannabis:
Cannabis sativa: a fibrous species that contains more CBD (non-psychoactive) and usually <1% THC. Phenotypically, C. sativa plants have narrower leaves and grow taller. They are mainly found in tropical climates.
Cannabis indica: this species can contain up to 25% THC. The plants grow more compactly and have broader leaves. They originate from the region around Afghanistan and Pakistan.
So if you want to grow cannabis, you should consider what you want to use the plants for. For many, pure horticultural curiosity will suffice.
